Give to someone in need
Acts 435 is about giving to people directly, to help them bridge the gap when they are facing a financial crisis.
Can you help a specific person in need?
Read stories of the applicants below and give as you feel able. Any amount will make a big difference to someone who is struggling.

This young adult in a Ukrainian refugee family asks for help with £200 to purchase a refurbished washing machine as the previously donated one has stopped working and is beyond repair. The family are studying English and, as they are using their limited benefits to cover other costs, have no savings, having left all their belongings in Ukraine. Please can you help them to avoid the everyday stress and high cost of managing without and continuing to work towards employment and integration into UK life?

Prior to his incarceration, he endured the loss of both parents, which has deeply affected him. Currently, this young man experiences sleep disturbances and frequent crying spells as he copes with his past traumas. We are seeking your support to provide him with bereavement counselling and to purchase a running kit, which has served as a source of solace for him amidst his grief.

Total needed £200This family regrettably missed an appointment with the Home Office, leading to the withdrawal of their asylum claim. Although the council offered housing for the parents and two younger siblings, the two older girls were considered non-vulnerable and did not receive assistance. Total needed £200R, a single mum of two children, has fled an abusive relationship. She has multiple disabilities, alongside post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and depression. After a period in a women's refuge, R has now been supported into a new home. Her only income is Universal Credit and she has no savings as she has spent what she had on furnishings and white goods for her house. Floor coverings would turn R's house into a home, help her mental health and give her the fresh start she is desperate for.

Total needed £200We are working with a gentleman who has poor physical and mental health. He got behind on his rent payments, due to sanctions from Universal Credit which occurred because he missed an appointment when he was in hospital. We are supporting this gentleman to engage with Universal Credit and get his claim back on track. Currently he is without any income and worrying about the rent arrears, particularly as he is on a low income. This money would clear the rent arrears and top-up his Housing Benefit.
