Give to someone in need
Acts 435 is about giving to people directly, to help them bridge the gap when they are facing a financial crisis.
Can you help a specific person in need?
Read stories of the applicants below and give as you feel able. Any amount will make a big difference to someone who is struggling.
You can instead make a general donation and the Acts 435 team will allocate it to the most urgent requests.

This family regrettably missed an appointment with the Home Office, leading to the withdrawal of their asylum claim. Although the council offered housing for the parents and two younger siblings, the two older girls were considered non-vulnerable and did not receive assistance. It's distressing to envision these girls facing the prospect of homelessness. We urgently seek your help in providing housing for this young girl for four nights while the necessary steps are taken.

Total needed £200I am supporting a wonderful young woman who has been through extensive and high risk domestic abuse. Thankfully, she has now moved into more secure accommodation to give her some much needed independence and safety. This young woman needs to purchase some items for herself to make her new place homely, and provide some practical solutions. She would like to purchase a new wardrobe and some small storage solutions.

Total needed £200This single mother of four children has fallen on tough times recently. Sadly evicted from her private rented property, she has had to live in emergency accommodation for about six months and has finally been offered a place of her own. However, mum does not have the funds needed to move her belongings to the new house. This money, if raised, will pay for the local, immensely supportive man with a van to carry out this removal for her at a discounted rate. Many thanks for your consideration.

Total needed £200We have been supporting this young man for nearly a year who has been living in a homeless hostel. He used to write, act, and dance but unfortunately has not had the opportunity in a long time. We have managed to secure him a bursary place with a local theatre to access their drama and creative writing groups but it requires a bus journey for him to get there. He has been struggling with his mental health and he hopes that this will be a really positive step forward.

She has worked extremely hard on improving her life and preparing herself to live independently, and has done a great job at achieving all of this. L would be so grateful for any support in securing her lovely new home with a social housing deposit and a van to move her belongings to make the property feel like her home and begin the next stage of her life.

Total needed £120This man sadly lost his partner in a house fire recently. He has been relocated but he has very little in his flat as nothing much could be salvaged from the fire. His Housing Officer has asked if he could get any help to start again. This man especially needs a washing machine and fridge freezer. We have second hand shops for white goods here so hopefully will be able to get these items cheaper than new. Please would you help him to rebuild his life after this tragic event? Thank you very much.

Total needed £200J, who had been in temporary accommodation, having been homeless, was doing really well and was supported into his own accommodation. However, he then lost his job, was unable to keep up with the rent and ended up back in a hostel. J is now being supported back into new accommodation, but it doesn't have a washing machine. He is very independent and is trying to get back on track with his life. Having clean clothes will make a huge difference to J.

Total needed £170H, a divorced mother, and her two young sons have recently moved into a new home after being in temporary accommodation for a few months. The youngest son, who is seven years of age, has recently been very unwell and H has had to take time away from work to care for him.
