Give to someone in need
Acts 435 is about giving to people directly, to help them bridge the gap when they are facing a financial crisis.
Can you help a specific person in need?
Read stories of the applicants below and give as you feel able. Any amount will make a big difference to someone who is struggling.
You can instead make a general donation and the Acts 435 team will allocate it to the most urgent requests.

This family regrettably missed an appointment with the Home Office, leading to the withdrawal of their asylum claim. Although the council offered housing for the parents and two younger siblings, the two older girls were considered non-vulnerable and did not receive assistance. It's distressing to envision these girls facing the prospect of homelessness. We urgently seek your help in providing housing for this young girl for four nights while the necessary steps are taken.

Total needed £200This lady is a Christians Against Poverty client who ran up large debts following the death of her mother in Nigeria. Her driveway needs repairs, as it is dangerous to pedestrians. This lady cannot currently afford to make these essential repairs, which is causing extra distress, in addition to dealing with grief and the stress of other debts.

Total needed £180This gypsy lady has been struggling to find work in a world where everything is online. She has been looking for work for over a year now with no success. She has started jewellery classes and a gardening business, selling her work at markets but, until these take off, she has been trying to feed herself and her pets on the money from her Universal Credit. This lady has a full septic tank so, added to her financial burden, she is unable to flush the toilet or put anything down the drain. Can you help to get this tank emptied, please?

Total needed £200This single mother of four children has fallen on tough times recently. Sadly evicted from her private rented property, she has had to live in emergency accommodation for about six months and has finally been offered a place of her own. However, mum does not have the funds needed to move her belongings to the new house. This money, if raised, will pay for the local, immensely supportive man with a van to carry out this removal for her at a discounted rate. Many thanks for your consideration.

Total needed £200We have been supporting this young man for nearly a year who has been living in a homeless hostel. He used to write, act, and dance but unfortunately has not had the opportunity in a long time. We have managed to secure him a bursary place with a local theatre to access their drama and creative writing groups but it requires a bus journey for him to get there. He has been struggling with his mental health and he hopes that this will be a really positive step forward.

Total needed £100R is really struggling with his debts. He currently has his gas capped due to huge debt and now has the high court enforcement agency attending his home due to an unpaid Council Tax bill of £452. Our team is supporting him with his debt management and has spoken to the enforcement agency who has put the account on hold for 28 days. We can then ask for a repayment plan. £200 towards his council tax debt would really help make the repayment plan more manageable for him. Any support is appreciated.

She has worked extremely hard on improving her life and preparing herself to live independently, and has done a great job at achieving all of this. L would be so grateful for any support in securing her lovely new home with a social housing deposit and a van to move her belongings to make the property feel like her home and begin the next stage of her life.

Total needed £200This lady has been assigned from refugee to asylum seeker, which has meant a change in accommodation and benefits with very little notice. Mum and her two year old daughter have been given a room with no storage space, therefore, they need six weeks storage of their possessions, such as daughters toys, kitchen equipment etc. Mum, who is being supported by our family project, as she is being treated for throat cancer, gave birth the day she arrived in the UK, and dad has only just been given a visa to come to the UK.
