Give to someone in need
Acts 435 is about giving to people directly, to help them bridge the gap when they are facing a financial crisis.
Can you help a specific person in need?
Read stories of the applicants below and give as you feel able. Any amount will make a big difference to someone who is struggling.
You can instead make a general donation and the Acts 435 team will allocate it to the most urgent requests.

Total needed £175We are working with a gentleman who has poor physical and mental health. He got behind on his rent payments, due to sanctions from Universal Credit which occurred because he missed an appointment when he was in hospital. We are supporting this gentleman to engage with Universal Credit and get his claim back on track. Currently he is without any income and worrying about the rent arrears, particularly as he is on a low income. This money would clear the rent arrears and top-up his Housing Benefit.

Total needed £85This fifty four year old client of the Sue Lambert Trust is on Universal Credit, but his income is low, due to the under occupancy charge, and he doesn't feel mentally strong enough to consider moving to alleviate this. Our client has just enough coming in to pay rent and bills, but no money left over to buy food and so eats very little. He is hoping to use some of his pension in July to start up a business to alleviate money worries, but will have a very low income until then. Some help to buy food would be appreciated.

Total needed £120This gypsy lady has been struggling to find work in a world where everything is online. She has been looking for work for over a year now with no success. She has started jewellery classes and a gardening business, selling her work at markets but, until these take off, she has been trying to feed herself and her pets on the money from her Universal Credit. This lady has a full septic tank so, added to her financial burden, she is unable to flush the toilet or put anything down the drain. Can you help to get this tank emptied, please?

Total needed £200This older lady has been forced to move out of her long-term rented accommodation, due to low income, lack of affordability and some debt issues in which she has not been treated fairly. She has now been in social housing for a number of months, which is not of a great standard and has no flooring throughout. In partnership with the local Christians Against Poverty debt centre, this funding will contribute to laying carpet in her lounge, at least increasing the comfort of this room for her. Thank you for your consideration.
