£0 remaining for a washing machine
J, who had been in temporary accommodation, having been homeless, was doing really well and was supported into his own accommodation. However, he then lost his job, was unable to keep up with the rent and ended up back in a hostel. J is now being supported back into new accommodation, but it doesn't have a washing machine. He is very independent and is trying to get back on track with his life. Having clean clothes will make a huge difference to J.
Our client is currently on long term sick, due to her medical conditions, including fibromyalgia and Ehlers-Danlos syndrome. She owns her property and has issues with penetrating damp. The costs of the works, in addition to the cost of scaffolding, is unobtainable for our client as she is reliant on benefits, due to her health conditions. A dehumidifier would help to combat the high humidity which is exacerbating her health conditions and help her to maintain a healthy living environment.
C, a refugee who is disabled and lives alone, receives Universal Credit. She recently got a council home and needs your generous donation to obtain a washing machine. With the moving costs and getting other essential furniture for her house, C could not afford this extra expense. Your donations will be massively helpful for her.
This client is a single parent with three young children. Their property has issues with damp and mould, primarily in the storage areas. Mum is waiting for the council to deal with the issue, but fears the mould spores will cause her children's clothes to become mouldy and negatively effect their health. We have provided them with advice and two hydrometers to keep an eye on humidity levels. However, a dehumidifier will help keep the area free of mould so mum can store things safely.
