Give to someone in need
Acts 435 is about giving to people directly, to help them bridge the gap when they are facing a financial crisis.
Can you help a specific person in need?
Read stories of the applicants below and give as you feel able. Any amount will make a big difference to someone who is struggling.
You can instead make a general donation and the Acts 435 team will allocate it to the most urgent requests.
F is a refugee who recently received a council house after years of waiting on the Social Housing waiting list. The house is a blank canvas and she needs to carpet her home. This is a large cost, especially for someone receiving Universal Credit. The opportunity to carpet the house for free is a true lifeline, however, F needs support to pay the fee for a contractor to fit the carpets. The remaining cost of materials etc. is provided free of charge.

Total needed £200This lady is a carer for her husband and they are making a fresh start. After living in very poor conditions, the council has now moved them into a more suitable home. However, they are struggling to furnish it and make it into a home suitable for their two very young children. Their most urgent priority is floor covering as none of the rooms have carpet or laminate. A carpet for the sitting room would be a great help for them.

Total needed £200H is a young mum with a disabled child that she cares for. The home she lives in has no flooring down at all and H is struggling financially. She has no savings, as her only income is from benefits, and without our help she would never be able to afford to carpet her home. H's house is really cold and damp, and feels unsafe for her child. Carpets down would transform her house into a home. We have an offer of free carpets, but would appreciate your help with the fitting charge.

Total needed £200B is a single parent who had been living in a women's refuge with her children, after fleeing domestic violence. She isn't working, has no savings and her only income is Universal Credit. B entered the refuge with only the clothes on her back, and is now rebuilding her life. She has been granted a property with a local social landlord, but there are no floor coverings down. B has been given free carpets, but help with the fitting cost would be a dream come true for her and truly allow her to begin again.
