Give to someone in need
Acts 435 is about giving to people directly, to help them bridge the gap when they are facing a financial crisis.
Can you help a specific person in need?
Read stories of the applicants below and give as you feel able. Any amount will make a big difference to someone who is struggling.
You can instead make a general donation and the Acts 435 team will allocate it to the most urgent requests.
C has been referred to us by her Health Visitor, due to her and the children surviving only on benefits and struggling to make ends meet. Mum has a washing machine which is now at the end of it's life. It has been repaired previously, but now the bearings have also gone. C would really appreciate your support in helping to purchase a replacement washing machine. Many thanks.
Still £200 left to donate
Total needed £200This family would really benefit from your support. There are seven children in the household, ranging in age from a one year old to a fifteen year old, and mum is currently eight months pregnant. As you might expect, the household finances have been and still are under immense pressure from rent and energy costs etc., along with day to day issue of shoes, clothing and food costs. An air fryer and microwave will at least ensure the children can have a hot meal every day.
Still £110 left to donate
Total needed £130This family has four children all aged under ten. Normally the family manage their finances as they budget well, but they don’t have any savings. Their benefits have changed from Tax Credits to Universal Credit, resulting in a backdated Council tax bill to be paid upfront and owing money for overpaid tax credits. The tax credits overpayment will be taken directly from their Universal Credit future payments, which means they will be getting less each month. These bills are causing the family lots of stress.
