Give to someone in need
Acts 435 is about giving to people directly, to help them bridge the gap when they are facing a financial crisis.
Can you help a specific person in need?
Read stories of the applicants below and give as you feel able. Any amount will make a big difference to someone who is struggling.
You can instead make a general donation and the Acts 435 team will allocate it to the most urgent requests.
P, who is married with one dependent child, is living in a mortgaged property. He is currently claiming Universal Credit and Personal Independence Payment, and his partner is claiming Carers Allowance. The family's front door has been broken for months; the door will shut, but will not latch or lock, leaving them in a dangerous position as anyone could walk in at any time. They need help with funding a new door. We have applied to other charities and received £600 towards the cost. If you would kindly support P with £200, his family can pay the remaining costs.
Still £200 left to donate
Total needed £200PK is a vulnerable adult who suffers from an undiagnosed learning disability and is being supported in independent living by Keyring. He has recently moved into his first property and is on a low income of Universal Credit and Personal Independence Payment. PK has minimal furniture; he was donated a single bed and a chest of drawers from a neighbour, but also needs a wardrobe.
