£0 remaining for a mattress and bedding
D wanted to write her story herself: "I was left doubly incontinent following assault. In 2021 I was diagnosed with stage 4 lymphoma. Thankfully I'm now in remission, but the tumour affected my mobility severely. This means incontinence accidents happen frequently, making me feel depressed, anxious and isolated. Clothing and bedding must be washed daily. I worked all my life but now need your kindness if possible please. My mattress is in bad condition and I do not have the money to replace it."
N, who lives on her own, is struggling to manage on her Universal Credit payment, particularly as she has debts with her electricity bill. She previously worked as a carer but, due to nerve damage, is unable to work. We are requesting £200 for a cooker. Thank you for your help.
K has a problem with severe mould in her flat, which has affected her health and her bed, and she is currently sleeping on the sofa. She receives Universal Credit and Personal Independence Payment, but a very low amount which barely covers costs. K has a number of health conditions including a knee injury, post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and anxiety. The council is currently working on the mould condition in the flat and we are requesting £200 for a new bed for when the mould condition is sorted. Thank you for your help.
This very vulnerable woman, who we have been journeying with, has recently escaped domestic violence and moved to a new home. She has no flooring in her flat and needs a living room carpet which would really help to make it feel more like a home. We have been working with this lady to furnish her living room and the carpet would make it feel much warmer. Please could you help this single mummy and her two girls?
