£0 remaining for a washing machine
W lived in a private rented home for many years, but had problems with repairs. Through no fault of her own, she was evicted and became homeless in mid 2023. She was put in temporary accommodation and now has permanent place from a housing association. W is having to start from scratch, and a washing machine would be wonderful for her. She works part-time, escorting disabled children on the bus to school and is also is in receipt of Universal Credit. Thank you for considering this request.
S is a young person seeking asylum in the UK. We are supporting them with their immigration case and other positive activities e.g. youth activities and English classes. They have applied for asylum support funding for destitution relief, but this is expected to take at least one month to be processed. They urgently need financial support to cover travel costs in London to visit their solicitor and caseworker (£10 each time), as well as money for food for the month.
