Give to someone in need
Acts 435 is about giving to people directly, to help them bridge the gap when they are facing a financial crisis.
Can you help a specific person in need?
Read stories of the applicants below and give as you feel able. Any amount will make a big difference to someone who is struggling.
You can instead make a general donation and the Acts 435 team will allocate it to the most urgent requests.
Our client is currently on long term sick, due to her medical conditions, including fibromyalgia and Ehlers-Danlos syndrome. She owns her property and has issues with penetrating damp. The costs of the works, in addition to the cost of scaffolding, is unobtainable for our client as she is reliant on benefits, due to her health conditions. A dehumidifier would help to combat the high humidity which is exacerbating her health conditions and help her to maintain a healthy living environment.
Still £65 left to donate
Total needed £110Our client, a newly granted refugee who receives Universal Credit, has recently moved into rented private accommodation. He needs your generous donation to afford a washing machine. With the moving costs and getting other essential furniture for his house, he could not afford to purchase a washing machine. With the increase in energy bills, he is struggling to handwash and dry his clothes. Your donations will be massively helpful to him.
Still £200 left to donate

Still £200 left to donate
Total needed £200This client is a single parent with three young children. Their property has issues with damp and mould, primarily in the storage areas. Mum is waiting for the council to deal with the issue, but fears the mould spores will cause her children's clothes to become mouldy and negatively effect their health. We have provided them with advice and two hydrometers to keep an eye on humidity levels. However, a dehumidifier will help keep the area free of mould so mum can store things safely.
Still £90 left to donate
Total needed £110This single mum of two children is living off Universal Credit. Her washing machine has been broken for a while and she is struggling to afford the launderette and keep on top of the washing. Having a washing machine at home would obviously take a lot of stress from her.
